The Value Of Fairy Tales For Children Education
In the contemporary society, many things have changed. For example, fairy tales are very important to us when we were children because our parents and teachers think fairy tales have many humanistic reason which we should begin to study at that time. On the other hand, with the development of society and economy, children can get humanistic reason everywhere, and they do not have to be in fairy tales. Once I read a report Written by a professor in University of Southern California about the value of fairy tales for children. It is said:" To enrichthe child's life, it must stimulate his imagination; help him to develop his intellect and to clarify his emotions; be attuned to his anxieties and aspirations; give full recognition to his difficulties, while at the same time relate to all aspects of his personality-and this without ever belittling but, on the contrary, giving full credence to the seriousness of the child's predicaments, while simultaneously promoting confidence in himself and in his future." This paragraph shows us fairy tales can improve children's inner world and emotions. And these sentences explain my opinions that is fairy tales make children have hope for future, the things told us by fairy tales are deeper than real childhood, and fairy tales is cultural heritage we need make the children know ancestors' essence.
Fairy tales bring joy into children lives and make their confident to future. First of all, fairy tales have their own charm that is hard to forget its interested detail because it brings a lot of fun to children. Childhood memories is the most unforgettable. So that when a person have an interesting memories about fairy tales it is means that person have a nice childhood. Secondly, make the children fulfilling their lives not only just enrich theirs material world but also their inner world. I read an essay a about fairy tales can make children hopeful. It is said:"Rags to riches stories make us feel that we can conquer our fears, work hard and achieve. When an unattractive person finds success with talent we applaud that. When a disabled person rises above the disability to achieve in life and business, we are pleased. These are the human fairy tales that are good, that teach us about the higher qualities of ourselves and others and give us hope for the future." This paragraph means fairy tales can help children see the world as a better place when we are having problems . When parents and teacher encourage children, they usually tell fairy tales because most fairy tales have their own meaning which have positive implications. When children know the happy ending of the stories they may never have depression and full of hope to the lives again. Fairy tales can make children have a no regrets childhood and build their character which are not afraid of setback.
Fairy talesare the earliest education contacted by children. Leading psychologist Elizabeth Loftus, of the University of California, believes your memories are more likely to be dream-like reconstructions of stories told by your parents. They give the children many useful information and strengthen the power of emotion, develop the power of imagination, train the memory, and exercise the reason. First of all, Fairy tales can strengthen children and their parents' relationship and through these fairy tales children can understandsimple notions of right and wrong, they start at sympathy the weak and feel the jungle society is unfair. So that fairy tales can make children have a fair and balanced heard. Secondly, most fairy tales about the problems which are relate to death, fear, injustice and despair. All of these qusetions we could be suffer when we were a child. For example, we cannot always study good and when we grow up we may not always fall in love with a people who we love. Sometimes we suffer to life's dark side. But finally we usually re-galvanize. These suffer like fairy tales' implications which is the hero always can overcome difficulties. These villains are like "evil" in children's innermost being and finally goodness defeat evil. Fairy tales can teach children in a different way make them know many significant qualities, likecourage, loyalty, kindness, gentleness, fairness, pity, endurance, bravery, industry, perseverance, and thrift. Therefore, fairy tales are very important to help children tobuild right single standard.
Fairy tales are the cultural heritage of the ancestors to stay. As the change of time many essence disappeared, it is makes children vanish many important things. It is hard to say these missed things not have value to children but a story that has been around long enough to become classic has necessarily originated at times. In my views. No matter how the modern things like cartoons computer game advanced they still cannot replace fairy tale to children's status. Why do fairy tales as cultural heritage remained by today because they have the education value and their unique writing methods that can express common people's voice and steer by some oppressed.
In conclusion, fairy tales are the most important thing in the world of children because the fairy tales' charming and they make children have a memorable childhood, the significant of early stage children education and make children know the essence of ancestors. So fairy tales have a way oflifting sadness and moving our thinking to positive ideas rather than negative ones.
