Today, we went to Northridge Mall to do a survey about how people think about if certain age group should wear certain kind of cloth so that they can fit into the society. We visited Forever 21 and the Black House White Market. Like it sounds, Forever 21 is the store for the young people or the people who want to look young. On the other side, Black House White Market is the clothing store for the older and conservative group because it is more simplistic and formal.
We disagree that certain age group should wear certain kind or brand of cloth to plea the society because women cannot be limited by what society's expectation.It is naive to say that women should wear whatever they want to wear because we need to dress in a certain way to meet the social context. For example, when we go to a interview, we have to wear suits to look like formal. When girls go clubbing, they will wear as little as they can to look sexy.
However, people have different personalities. Some people may be more into old-fashion way of dressing even when they are young. Some older people may like the colorful and energetic brands such as Forever 21, H&M, and Pacsun. They should have the absolute freedom to dress the way they want to if it is not too inappropriate to the occasion.
